The initiative, which took place in Lisbon on 25 September 2024, is part of the mission to contribute to the promotion and defence of the human rights of foreign people detained due to their migratory situation and to promote alternatives to deprivation of liberty, in line with international and regional human rights standards. The Ombudsman&#8217;s Office was represented by the coordinator of the National Prevention Mechanism, Miguel Feldmann, who closed the event.
