The Ombudsperson, Lu\u00edsa Neto, was received today in an audience with the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the priorities set for her term were presented and discussed, and various issues of particular relevance to the Ombudsman\u2019s work were also addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ombudsman is the National Human Rights Institution and is also a member of the Council of State, a political advisory body to the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lu\u00edsa Neto took office as Ombudsperson<\/a> on July 15, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
