Sofia Amaral do Nascimento Rodrigues Câmara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Financial Law, as well as a postgraduate qualification in Education for Sustainable Global Peace, under the UNESCO Chair programme. Her professional career includes experience at the Bank of Portugal and the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), as well as serving as Head of the Office of the Secretary of State for Public Administration. In recent years, she has dedicated her work to teaching, research and consultancy in the field of citizenship education. In 2016, she co-founded Atelier Montessori, a centre for educational research, and, in 2018, the São Lourenço Montessori School in Lisbon. From 2024 to 2026, she was a member of the team at Universidade Católica Portuguesa responsible for the institutionalisation of service-learning.
