International Migrants Day
Today, December 18th, is celebrated the International Migrants Day, created seventeen years ago by the United Nations. The 2017 celebration has as its motto Safe Migration in a World on the Move.
The Ombudsman of Portugal is marking the day, recalling how the Migrant condition poses fundamental challenges to the open and contemporary society guided by the values derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
