Ombudsperson Received by the President of the Republic

The Ombudsperson, Luísa Neto, was received today in an audience with the President of the Republic.

During the meeting, the priorities set for her term were presented and discussed, and various issues of particular relevance to the Ombudsman’s work were also addressed.

The Ombudsman is the National Human Rights Institution and is also a member of the Council of State, a political advisory body to the President of the Republic.

Luísa Neto took office as Ombudsperson on July 15, 2026.
