The Portuguese Ombudsman regrets the dozens of lives that have been lost or were brutally injured in the attack that took place in Istanbul, Turkey. In this moment of pain and consternation, the Portuguese Ombudsman, defender of human rights, reaffirms, once again, that the values of peace, justice and freedom must always be present even in times when the cruelty is expressed in such an intense way.
